...and the Floods Came Up

We had a relaxing lunch after church and then we ran an errand to Sams...all the while our house was slowly submerging beneath the treacherous, muddy waters. Luckily, Kelsey and D were here to help recreate our landscape to direct the waters elsewhere. Wow -- fun times in the land of home-owning. Don't worry -- Kelsey did find a few dry moments to take some snapshots of the wet event.

Oh my gosh!! What a bummer. Hopefully the water didn't actually get in your house. But at least you ate a good meal before you had to deflood your house. Maybe the people who lived there before didn't actually have a pool in the back yard. Maybe they just baracaded it so they could trap the water.

OH NO! That looks awful! We happen to live on a drainage street here in Midland, and anyone who has lived in West Texas knows these people don't know how to drain rain off of streets! It's a river curb to curb any time it rains...one time it was nearly up to my knee, but luckily, our house sits up on the lot, so it hasn't flooded yet...hope the house is okay! Send the rain our way! We need it! Oh and the message on my phone was a delightful surprise... sorry I didn't give you warm fuzzies...I'll make it up to you. Wink wink.

Give Cade a squish for me.
